In this trade I run across a lot of great people and its my job to make memories for them... Sometimes the memory I make for my self is one that will earn a place in my heart for years to come. Today we had a couple of daddy daughter pairs for our guests... I was determined to make the trip a good one. Ran past a couple spots to one I had a hunch would work and the sea bass bite was fantastic! The daughters brought their game faces and were bound and determined to show their dads who was boss and they didn't disappoint. Seven year old Chloe was my hero manning up and bringing bass after bass to the boat. Her cousin Angie picked up some of the tricks of the trade early on and blistered the tasty morsels as well. When the smoke cleared we had let go an easy 200 and boxed 44 keeper sea bass, ling, sea robin, shark, and flounder in the pile...
Paul Cameron Representing Reel Happy Fishing Charters at the Proving Grounds tournament today.. 42 boats fished with 18 including us making the scales. They had no junior angler so that trophy was awarded to runner up lady angler. Unfortunately we were nudged out of that place by under two pounds. Thrid is still a respectable finish for Jan who fished with us. Had we boated our beast Debi Decker fought to next to the boat top honors in that division would have been ours. Oh, well that's what next year is for!
Congratulations to all that did win and thank you Jack Donlon and Gary Carr for another great event!
we went on the hunt for Striped Bass and after trying several different spots we landed this nice big bass!!
Weather eased up and gave s a great start to the fall run of big striped bass. These arly season beasts were running 25-50 pounds. Good striped bass fishing so far
