A good day of fishing begins long beforethe engine starts and lines cast off.We cut a bushel of clams a couple days ago in anticipation of today's trip. With the threat of winds bluiding in the afternoon we left early.Almost immediately we were on them.It was non stop action for the dignitaries we had aboard today. The sea bass were thick with several hump heads" in the collection. As the day progressed we gathered some really nice ling to add some diversity to the catch.
Today was nice as we got in a rhythm keeping hooked fish coming to the boat almost non stop.Hooks were baited and sent down as other fish were being reeled up. just before the wind picked up our anglers stated we had 32 sea bass and 24 ling both to better than three pounds on this trip.Even a couple of small whiting for grins.
Debi Decker put the heat on the first shark of the day to take the lead " Lady Angler" Division of the Triple Challenge Shark Tournament aboard our" Reel Happy"
lucky and avoided the rain that was forecast. Spot one and two was where they were last week but no fish. Spot three had great marks and other guys were catching but still no score. Next place we clobbered jumbo blues and nice bass. We tried troll, chunks, live there. The tide switched and fishing died.
We tried three more spots without a mark or bite. Threw a Hail Mary and tried an old spot. We added three big Bass with one pushing 30 pounds.

we were trolling the channels and got several Striped Bass in the morning. The Bass, which were juveniles were released back in the water. As we continued throughout the day we caught 12 Bass between 18-26 inches and managed to land one keeper fish. The bite then slowed down and we decide to call it a day.
