Thanks to the intel a number of friends gave me , picking a spot was pretty easy. Glassy seas greeted us for the 50 odd mile run. We arrived in the dark and deployed our spread...
Mere seconds passed before the outtrigger ballyhoo got slammed... As I re rigged, flat line cedar plugs were next to get crushed Fish in the box. In the dim first hints of light we saw fish on the surface. I fired a jig at them, one crank and it was game in. Then the flat lines cedar joined the party again. Then the outriggers again. Before the sun broke the horizon we were in release mode...
We had a special treat in the midst of it... A nice king Mackerel... The sun rose and the bite died off with just one more bite before heading back to home port.... All in all a great day with great people...
