Got some bass for Joe's group as we started out looking around and had several bunkers splashing all around buty won't hit the shads or top lures. We put the white mojos out and it did't take long before hooking up instantly..A few more caught and couple of run offs to finish our day.All in all we had a good day out and about.
Stan clan aboard today. Brian was on fire with keeper sea bass and fluke including this dandy specimen!
The Stan was back aboard today. This time the fluke cooperated with 4 overs being nice 20-22 inch class.Tossed in the token slot fish and headed home with smiles all around.Back at it in the morning.
Things kinda worked out.. Altered course and game plan with guests this morn.Decided to focus on sea bass and Fluke were there. No keepers but fair pick of shorts and a limit of sea bass.
Some days…… Ziggy and his pals arrived early. We headed to one of our favorite spots . Bite was crisp but keepers evasive. We decided to make a 10 mile move. Along the way was the most disgraceful patch of water jammed with garbage and plastic. I dodged all I could then we bogged all the way down! Unable to clear the unknown mess we limped back toward shore. Our tow operator and diver didn’t answer the phone. All the marinas with haul out capability were closed. We tucked in behind the hook and Lou went in for a look. We had hit a ghost drift net!!!!!
Long time to cut the monster pile of trash then once clear we shot back out. I’d conservatively say we sorted through a couple to few hundred sea bass to get 25 keepers. At least they were good sized. Clients were pleased with all the action and “enough meat” . Nice to salvage the trip ?
