We had a minor repair to do today. Since it was a five minute job that gave us a shot at giving it a go on a late day run. Fog was thick but doable. It’s kind of nice in the fog we could set a game plan and not get sucked into a fleet that might be doing or not. We set the spread and braved a cold misty rain. Wham! White mojo bowed up and the way the drag was dumping it was a good fish. Louie worked it the way it needed to be worked. Few minutes later 36” fish hit the well.
Next up was the green mojo for my shot. The drag gave an extra long dump and gaining line was tough. I could feel the drag as maxed to the line strength. Louie netted my 37” fish and walked away. “ Hey! Where ya going? You didn’t net the other one!”
“ You got 2? “
“Yup and the second one is a pig!” The 45” throw back stayed aboard just long enough for a quick pic… Limited in short order we pointed at the dock and all was good. I’ve doubled before but not with twin cows in that class… ?
